The main objective of the Certificate Program is to initiate students to the sublime art form, the Indian classical dance Kuchipudi. This program will cover the fundamentals of dance, both in theoretical and practical ways, that create and develop awareness and appreciation for the Kuchipudi dance form.
This program seeks to instill both practical and theoretical knowledge in Kuchipudi dance repertoire. Students will learn complex movement phrases in different rhythmic measures, to gain expertise and proficiency to perform challenging aspects in Kuchipudi dance.
We provide a fourth straight ability to learn Maestro Vempati Chinnasatyam’s values, ancient repertory, and foundations. Learn Vempati’s Kuchipudi initial steps (Adugulu), Jathulu, and the classical elements, which is an important part of the Kuchipudi curriculum. These sessions are suitable for both beginners and experienced dancers who would like to learn or enhance the foundational basics that are so fundamental in Kuchipudi tradition and practice. It is a wonderful opportunity for all dancers to immerse themselves in the study of Kuchipudi’s most precise, pleasant, and significant elements.
